NCOTMB Soldier of the Month Board (SOTMB) Practice Exam

ACES is the Army program that provides continuing education opportunities to Soldiers, including degree programs, certificates, and licensure, to support readiness and personal development. The regulation that governs the Army Continuing Education System sets the policy and responsibilities for administering ACES—covering things like eligibility, education counseling, course approval, tuition assistance, and crediting prior learning. That regulation is AR 621-5.

The other regulations address different topics: AR 623-3 covers the Evaluation Reporting System, AR 350-1 covers Army Training and Leader Development, and AR 40-501 covers Standards of Medical Fitness. Since they do not pertain to education programs, they don’t govern ACES.
